What You’ll Read
Mandrake Manor
Set in the hidden magical neighborhood of Henbane Hollow, Mandrake Manor is the first book in the Henbane Hollow series. It follows a messy inheritance, a house full of secrets, and a growing found family of queer witches and magical neighbors. Cozy, witty, and rooted in community, it is the kind of story that feels like coming home.
The Owlet Café
Set in the same Henbane Hollow universe, The Owlet Café is a cozy-dark short story that takes place before the Mandrake Coven was reformed.
Ragana, a former guardian with a sharp tongue and zero patience, wakes up clawed out of her grave with no magic and very few options. Hiding from the magical world means opening a café in a town with terrible coffee, a condemned building, and aggressively judgmental owls. Funny, biting, and surprisingly tender, this is a story about reinvention and rebuilding power one terrible owl pun at a time.
Paperback short story. 75 pages.
Mosswood Apothecary
Mosswood Apothecary is the first book in the Tales of Valdaes series and is set in the mountain town of Frostfern Valley. When a struggling botanical alchemist is sent north to investigate fading magic, he expects research and solitude. What he finds instead is a crumbling greenhouse, a small town wary of alchemy, quiet magic in the forest, and a soft, slow-growing queer romance grounded in care, patience, and trust.
Together, these stories make an easy entry point into both the Henbane Hollow and Tales of Valdaes series, whether you are new to these worlds or returning for more time inside them.

A grandmother's old recipes.
A city on the hunt for magic.
And bread that makes things better.
Erik never expected his grandmother's old baking secrets to change anything beyond keeping his neighbors fed. Working quietly in Master Garrick's shop, he uses hints of magic to stretch meager supplies, ever since the city's tension with refugees worsened. It's nothing grand, just a few prayers and simple etchings, but it's enough to ease hunger in Rosen's struggling harbor district.
When a licensed mage appears at the bakery door, Erik fears his careful balance is crumbling. But as word spreads about this miracle bread, he discovers something unexpected: a community beginning to form around his kitchen table. From Master Garrick's gruff protectiveness to young Theo's eager friendship. Erik finds himself building the very thing he thought he'd lost-a place to belong.
The old ways his grandmother taught him are stirring something deeper than simple heating sigils, and Erik must decide how much of himself he's willing to share.
Because sometimes the most powerful magic isn't about changing the world-it's about feeding the people who matter, one loaf at a time.
